Snowflakes at Bushwhack

Temps in the 30s, a tweaked lower back from system board training on Friday, and the cold kiss of snow dampening the rocks... sounds like a perfect day for Bushwhack!  Joining me for the fun were Sean Espinoza and Mike Kelliher, both on their maiden trip to my favorite local boulders.  With morning snowfall providing the most beautiful approach I can remember, we took our time looking around as we waited for the sky to clear, then warmed up on a low start to Sharp Tooth and the nearby Visions.

With welcome afternoon sun finally drying things off, we decided to check out the small roof between the Tourette's Boulder and the Lichen Wall, which I had started to climb on my first visit to Bushwhack before becoming concerned about the stability of the large flake.  Fortunately, although some of the footholds rattled ominously, the flake held and we climbed several fun variations.

And since it was right there, we walked over to the Tourette's Boulder to finish on Tourette's Razor, Tourette's Tantrum, and Skip the Razor.  A great end to a great day!
