Bushwhack 4/17/11

Last Sunday my mom and I headed out to Bushwhack, and had the pleasure of bringing along our own personal paparazzi, the talented Nate Hathaway.  Although I carried in a full trad rack, a 60 meter rope, 75 feet of static line, 60 feet of webbing, and a crashpad, I'm fairly certain that Nate's backpack full of camera equipment actually weighed more.  In appreciation of the hard work he put into hauling his setup, shooting while suspended from various surfaces, and I'm sure staying up all night to edit the footage, I'll strictly be using Nate's photos for this post.

The day started out as most do there, just walking around...

Visiting old favorites...

Eventually we set up topropes to clean off a new wall, which we called Diagon Alley due to it's "hidden in plain sight" location...

My mom put up two lines there, one called Butterbeer, and the other 1000 Magical Herbs and Fungi...

We also started working on a project that just didn't happen...

After awhile we were joined by Jeff Griswold, who put up a fun line through some quartz cracks...

Then we moved left to the face and put up Feels Like 9+ (tentatively rated 5.10+).  We actually weren't as angry as we look...

We went back to the main area for our mandatory run up The Way Life Should Be...

We went on a Vision Quest...

And stopped back to finish on Tourette's Razor and Tourette's Tantrum.  Just for good measure, Jeff did a dyno variation, calling it Skip the Razor...

Thanks everyone for the great day!
